Which frameworks
Twelve industry analyst evaluations: Gartner Magic Quadrant, The Forrester Wave, IDC MarketScape, Everest Group PEAK Matrix, ISG Provider Lens, Omdia Universe, GigaOm Radar, Frost Radar, NelsonHall NEAT, KuppingerCole Leadership Compass, QKS SPARK Matrix and Radicati Market Quadrant. Each report is one market evaluated by one firm in one year.
What this tracker shows, and what it does not
Only the named tier a vendor sits in (Leaders, Challengers, and so on), grouped as chips. It never shows a report's chart, the x/y position inside a quadrant, or a Wave score: those are the analyst firm's proprietary work, usually behind a paywall or a vendor-licensed reprint. Vendors within a tier are listed alphabetically, not by any inferred rank.
Where placements come from
Public announcements only: a vendor's own newsroom or blog post ("X named a Leader in the 2026 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Y"), an analyst firm's own free page, or a wire service copy (PR Newswire, Business Wire, GlobeNewswire). A daily run searches for new announcements per firm, opens each candidate page, and extracts the firm, report, vendor and tier with a language model. One coded rule gates what is accepted: the page has to be on the vendor's own domain, the analyst firm's own domain, or a wire service, or it is rejected and recorded (never deleted, never shown publicly). Placements the daily run finds are marked Unverified until checked by hand.
Categories
A report's category (Data and AI, Cloud and infrastructure, Security, Applications, IT services, Networking, or Other) is derived from its title and market.
History
Nothing that changes is overwritten silently. Every report added, placement added, and tier that moved writes a row with the old value, the new one, when and the source. The Changes page lists them and /api/changes serves them. /api/companies lists every vendor with its registry slug, domain and dated placements for companies.fru.dev.
